Arani Silk Sarees

The silks from the town of Arani in Tiruvannamalai (Tamil Nadu) are as gorgeous as the Kanjivaram; but are lighter than them. The sarees are woven with mulberry silk in warp and weft, with little or no zari. These silks sarees light weight and make wonderful drapes for casual evenings and formal work wear .
