A Sambalpuri saree is a traditional handwoven ikkat saree wherein both the warp and the weft are tie-dyed before weaving. These sarees are woven in the Sambalpur, Balangir, Bargah Boudh and Sonepur clusters of Odisha, India.
Sambalpuri sarees are known for their incorporation of traditional motifs that have deep symbolism with the native Odiya culture and of Lord Jagannath ..The unique characteristic of these sarees is the traditional craftsmanship of the 'Bandhakala', the tie-and-dye art reflected in the intricate weaves.
This Brown Sambalpur Ikkat Cotton Saree Khyati features a unique combination of traditional and tribal motifs, including elephants, parrots, birds, and conches on the saree body. The saree's red borders and pallu, as well as its pasapalli design, add a stylish and intricate touch. Crafted from sambalpur ikkat cotton, this saree embraces one's unique style statement.
